Two of the Three White Children Stricken

February 1863

In February 1863 two of James and Ellen White´s three boys were stricken with diphtheria. Fortunately they heard of Dr. Jackson´s method of treating this deadly disease: hydrotherapy. Jackson reported that over a period of years, while employing these means in hundreds of cases involving young and old, not one patient had died. Before leaving to meetings at Convis, James and Ellen followed Jackson´s method. The children made a speedy recovery. By pursuing the same course of treatment as with her own children, Ellen also healed the oldest child of Moses Hull.
