Ukiah Valley Medical Center (UVMC) (Ukiah, California, US)

A 116-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in Ukiah, California. The institution is owned and operated by Adventist Health System/West. Established in 1956 as Hillside Hospital, the facility was relocated and named Ukiah Adventist Hospital in 1980. Ukiah Adventist Hospital purchased the assets of Ukiah General Hospital in 1988, and the consolidated facilities became Ukiah Valley Medical Center—the sole provider of acute care in Ukiah (a town located at the foot of the Redwoods in Mendocino County with a population of 15,000 and a service area along the Highway 101 corridor of more than 60,000).
